Millie May
Millie began performing live and song-writing at the age of 16, after becoming heavily influenced by music from John Lennon, David Bowie and The Beatles. Originally from Shrewsbury, Shropshire Millie became a regular performing live on the local Open Mic scene. Soon realising her calling in life was music, in 2016 Millie began studying at the Academy of Music and Sound Birmingham, where Millie is now based. Achieving success from both her original music ‘Millie May’ Millie is also kept very busy with her cover shows.

Some Millie's achievements include a 6 month residency contract with the Hilton Garden Inn, Playing on the New Breed stage at Lunar Festival 2018, and Playing Silverstone Grand Prix 2019, she has also released her EP ‘Playhouse’ which is available online and in selected HMV Stores. Millie describes her original music as ‘Atmospheric and Quirky Alternative Pop’ and has been compared to artists such as ‘Lana Del Rey’, ‘Kate Bush’ and Siouxsie and the Banshees’, however her covers set is a lot more upbeat where Millie plays Popular Party Covers from 60’s to present, has 4 hours worth of material in her repertoire providing entertainment for bars, hotels and private functions.
